Saline Implants

If you are thinking about breast augmentation, the saline breast implant is still a popular option to consider. While silicone breast implants have become very popular since they came back in 2006, there are still plenty of reasons for you to consider the use of saline. What type of breast implant are you planning on choosing? Before you make your implant choice, you will want to understand all of the limiting factors to each style.

For women considering very large implants, saline might be the only option. For the woman considering sizes like 1200cc, 1600cc, or 2000cc saline is available because the implant is literally filled after it has been inserted. This would not be available with silicone because they come prefilled with the silicone gel. Not all doctors will perform this type of surgery so if you are considering very big breast implants you will need to visit with a specialist. Additionally, some states have a maximum size which they allow due to health concerns so some of these patients will literally go to another country such as Brazil to have the procedure performed. In addition to size, some incision methods such as TUBA require a saline implant.

No matter of which type of implant you might choose, one of the most important factors has to do with the size you are going to choose. In recent years, breast implant sizing systems have made this a comparatively easy choice. With the Purlz Breast Sizing System you can literally wear different sizes of implants before you make your final choice. Other sizers are made of plastic bags filled with water or gel so they will show the rippling through your bra. With Purlz you can wear them and look natural. Purlz are an excellent method for choosing the size of your saline implant.

What type of breast implant size are you looking for? I have written dozens of articles on the topic throughout the internet. Additonally I have covered topics such as breast augmentation recovery bras which you will need after your surgery is done.

Research your procedure early and thoroughly. By the time you are ready for your breast augmentation consultation you will want to have your list of questions ready to go.
