Saline Breast Implants: Still a Popular Choice

Saline Breast Implants

Saline breast implants are still a very popular option in breast implant surgery. While silicone breast implants have become very popular since they came back in 2006, there are still plenty of reasons for you to consider the use of saline. What type of breast implant are you planning on choosing? Before you make your implant choice, you will want to understand all of the limiting factors to each style.

One of the most popular reasons women choose saline breast implants has to do with cost. The cost of manufacturing the new silicone gel implant keeps there cost significantly higher. Generally speaking saline implants are about one thousand dollars less than the popular silicone cousin. Another good reason to consider saline is if you are interested in transumbilical breast augmentation, otherwise known as TUBA. With this incision doctors actually insert the implant through your navel, up through your belly and into place behind your breast. The advantage has to do with keeping the incision far away from the breast. This type of option is only available with saline implants since silicone implants are too large.

No matter of which type of implant you might choose, one of the most important factors has to do with the size you are going to choose. In recent years, breast implant sizing systems have made this a comparatively easy choice. With the Purlz Breast Sizing System you can literally wear different sizes of implants before you make your final choice. Other sizers are made of plastic bags filled with water or gel so they will show the rippling through your bra. With Purlz you can wear them and look natural. Purlz are an excellent method for choosing the size of your saline implant.
