Incision Methods for Breast Implants

Incisions

The incision method for your breast implants is a major factor for you to consider. It should be one of the first things you decide upon. There are a lot of different factors that will impact your choice of incision placement. It just is not all about the scar size, as you might be thinking, though that is one of the most important issues that women often think about. Each method of incision has a different scar placement and can result in a variety of different issues for you to consider. The breast augmentation forums are filled with sisterly advice on this topic.

There are 4 typical areas of your body in which a plastic surgeon will consider placing the implant through:

1) Through the nipple

2) Under the arm

3) Under the breast

4) Through the belly button

The incision method choices each have their benefits and challenges. Please be sure to reseach each of these methods with each of the benefits and problems.

Not all incision methods are available for all implants. For example the TUBA, or belly button breast augmentation method, cannot be done with silicone breast implants. However, each of the other options are available for both saline and silicone. While the scar is generally about one inch larger with silicone implants, it can still be hidden well especially when done through the nipple. If you get a chance to talk with some people who have had breast implants you will get a good feeling for what method is right for you.

What type of breast implant size are you looking for? I have written dozens of articles on the topic throughout the internet. Additonally I have covered topics such as breast augmentation recovery bras which you will need after your surgery is done.
